Demystifying Aesthetic Treatments And Why They Are Here To Stay

Beauty is not about conforming to rigid standards but celebrating individuality and confidence. In my practice, I strive to redefine beauty by tailoring treatments to each client’s specific needs, ensuring that they receive a bespoke experience that aligns with their aesthetic goals and desires. Every consultation is a learning experience for both the client and me. There is a lot of misinformation and misrepresentation of botox and fillers in pop culture and social media—that’s understandably caused by fear-mongering and taboo in public minds. Contrary to popular belief, botox and fillers are not about freezing your expressions or creating a plastic/botched look. When administered artistically and tastefully, botox and fillers work harmoniously to enhance your features subtly and naturally, revealing a more balanced and positive version of yourself. All of this begins with a good old-fashioned consultation—where I get to listen to concerns, and worries, learn about no-go treatments, and curb those fears through education and relaying real-life experiences of successful treatment stories.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BOTOX AND FILLERS?

When it comes to botox and fillers, it is essential to understand the nuances that differentiate these treatments. Botox, a neurotoxin, is ideal for relaxing muscles and reducing the appearance of dynamic wrinkles caused by repetitive facial movements. On the other hand, fillers, typically composed of hyaluronic acid, are excellent for restoring facial volume, enhancing contours, and softening static wrinkles. Identifying the right candidates for these treatments is key to achieving optimal results. Botox is best suited if you’re seeking to address dynamic wrinkles like crow’s feet and forehead lines. In contrast, fillers are recommended for lifting cheeks, filling hollow temples, plumping lips, and softening nasolabial folds. The focus is on enhancing the positive attributes of your face (looking joyful, well-rested, and youthful) and softening the negative attributes (looking tired, angry, and unrested) using a combination of my injectables.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

The perks of botox and fillers go beyond skin-deep enhancements. In my practice, botox  is used to treat muscle spasms causing neck pains, teeth grinding, migraine headaches, and excessive sweating. There are dermal fillers that are used on clients who have lost weight and volume on their face from ageing or illness or even Ozempic—helping them soften their gaunt faces and lifting their cheeks to soften the appearance of their jowls. Beyond these injectables, there are quite a lot of skin quality products such as skin boosters, enzymes used to break down fatty double chins, pigmentation mesotherapy, and much more.

In short, when in a consultation room, the focus is on breaking the medical jargon of these injectables, making the process seem less intimidating, and coaching the client through an antiaging journey that seems most effective and comfortable to them. Antiaging medicine has to be tailored in all aspects—so the treatment plan will consider other elements—time commitment and compliance being major factors to this. While the allure of botox and fillers is undeniable, safety always comes first.
