My locks bore the brunt of every photoshoot and fashion week. That’s when I realized that my approach to hair care had to change drastically—not just superficially, but from the inside out.

I adopted a holistic routine that blended the wisdom of Ayurveda, mindful habits, and nutrient-rich food. And yes, the results have been transformative! Here are the five key steps that helped me grow stronger, healthier hair—steps that can help you too.

Your hair reflects your diet. If your nutrition is poor, no external remedy will save your strands. Over the years, I’ve made these foods staples in my routine:

• Walnuts: A powerhouse of fatty acids, I ensure I eat them daily.

• Fenugreek Seeds: These are fantastic for overall health and hair strength.

• Foods Rich in Fatty Acids & Antioxidants: Think berries, full-fat yogurt, and eggs.

• Ayurvedic Supplements: I regularly incorporate ashwagandha, brahmi, and moringa into my regimen.

2. The Weekly Ritual: Champi (Hair Oil Massage)

A weekly champi is a non-negotiable in my routine. My go-to technique is the Marma Massage, which focuses on specific points where muscles, bones, and tissues converge. This helps release tension, improve energy flow, and promote better blood circulation—key for stress-free hair growth.

5. Avoid the Hype: Trends Aren’t Worth It

Resist the temptation to follow every seasonal trend. My rule? I color my hair only once a year, no exceptions. Staying consistent with minimal chemical treatments has been a game-changer.

Finally, understand that genetics play a role in hair quality and hair growth. Instead of comparing your journey, embrace what you have, and give your hair the care it deserves. I also recommend a protein treatment every three months for an added boost!
