Lavenderoom X Sarees & Sangrias by Kalaneca: Of Craftsmanship, Conversations and Connections

Lavenderoom curated an unforgettable evening with Kalaneca, the distinguished Indian handloom saree brand founded by twin sisters Kavea R. Chavali and Ramya Rao. Specializing in the exquisite craft of Uppada silk, Kalaneca’s sarees reflect this traditional weave’s grace, luxury, and timeless appeal. Our event, ‘Sarees & Sangrias,’ celebrated these beautiful sarees and supported local artisans.

Sarees are a thing of absolute beauty—six yards of unstitched wonder, forgiving the ups and downs of your body and flattering the twists and turns. As part of the evening, guests experienced this elegance firsthand through a hands-on saree draping workshop led by Kavea and Ramya. Alongside cultural activities, eight small business founders showcased their artisanal products, enriching the event with a focus on craftsmanship.

We were thrilled to see so many of you there, including Lavenderoom insider and influencer Aiana Jain, who said, “Wearing a sari makes me happy.”

For those who couldn’t attend, you can still discover Kalaneca’s stunning Uppada silk sarees for a special price, exclusively for Lavenderoom insiders. Explore the collection through their online store.
