Here’s my edit of 6 Indian perfume brands that you must try:

1. @ajmalperfumesin – heritage perfumery brand specialises in traditional and modern perfumes.

2. @isakfragrances – a 160-year old perfume house based out of Lucknow, makes some amazing perfumes inspired by royal attars and indian ingredients. They were on the popular india show shark tank, that got them investment and visibility.

3. @nasoprofumi – a fairly new artisanal perfume brand that works with traditional Indian ingredients and gives them a modern twist

4. @aromazeia – their rendition of scent of rain or gilli mitti is one of the best. They typically specialise in essential oils.

5. @boondfragrances – a passion project of a filmakers sibling duo, the brand is as traditional as it gets with mini glass bottles with tasseled cap and poetic notes that come in the handcrafted box.

6. @kastoor – it’s a modern take on attars and they do just a fab work of making traditional attars wearable on a every day basis. Don’t miss the sleek glass bottle and the wooden top. My favourite is mystique for evenings which has rose and woods.

Every perfume collection must have a traditional scent for days when you want to give out the empress energy. Also, attars or modern versions of attars make very good souvenirs.
